Transgender community shall no longer be depressed - Transgender hotline now established

On 6th August Taiwan Tongzhi Hotline (台灣同志諮詢熱線；同志：Sex minority hotline) and Taiwan TG Butterfly Garden (台灣TG蝶園)has held a press conference and announced the establishment of Taiwan's first transgender consultation hotline "Hao Ri"(皓日專線). It is aimed at providing consultation services for the transgender community, as well as assisting transgender persons in dealing with the problems in life.

Participating gender and sexuality rights groups in the conference were all certain about necessity in the establishment of this hotline and will be anticipating that transgender individuals will be able to bargain for better treatment.

From August, Taiwan TG Butterfly Garden will launch Transgender consultation hotline. Service hours are every Wednesday from 7pm to 10pm. We welcome any callers with gender-associated issues. We also welcome medical staff, teachers, parents as well as transgender partners to call us: 02-2394-9008.

The first service hours are 6th August 7pm-10pm. Our hotline staffs are also transgender themselves so they are most capable in understanding the plight of gender-related issues.
